COPPELION #1 review

COPPELION is an anime set decades after a nuclear accident happens in Tokyo. As some of you may know, this anime’s production was unfortunately pushed back due to the 3/11 disaster, but now, it’s finally on air. And boy is it beautiful. That was my first impression. Unlike other anime, the animators have put a lot of work into the backgrounds. It looks like the backgrounds are all 3dCG, which really gives the sky and the ruined streets of Tokyo a lot of presence. The contrast between the dirty concrete and the trees is really beautiful, I think. I hope a lot of people get to watch it. Also, I think the three high school girl characters’ skirts are really short. But that’s a good thing (to me).
